The introduction of MH-58 is not just a new vehicle registration code—it represents a fresh chapter of growth, pride, and self-reliance for Mira-Bhayandar. After taking charge as Transport Minister, Shri Pratap Sarnaik had promised to establish a Sub-Regional Transport Office (RTO) within the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation limits. Fulfilling this commitment, the new RTO began operations in April 2025.
With this decision, Mira-Bhayandar received its own independent registration series MH-58, symbolising the city’s rising population, rapid urban development, and increasingly modern lifestyle. Earlier, residents had to travel to Thane for driving licenses, vehicle registration, and other transport services, a process that was time-consuming and inconvenient. Now, all essential services are available locally in a transparent, streamlined, and technology-enabled environment.
How MH-58 Benefits Citizens
-
All transport services available under one roof
- Significant savings in time, travel, and expenses
- Faster, transparent, and citizen-friendly administration
This initiative has reduced hassle for thousands of Mira-Bhayandar residents and strengthened the efficiency of local service delivery. With the MH-58 identity, citizens can now access quick, reliable, and convenient transport-related services right in their own city, marking a major step forward in regional progress.
